Grateful Yoga of Evanston

Chicago area folks! Looking for a place to practice? Grateful Yoga offers classes in a wide range of yogic practices, taught by highly qualified, kind, and knowledgable teachers. Founded in 2005, owners Nick and Lela Beem have cultivated a strong, supportive yoga community that is inclusive to all people looking to transform and deepen their inner awareness. Styles include hatha, gentle, chair yoga, yoga nidra, vinyasa flow, and pre/postnatal. Private yoga sessions are also available.

Kristen Simons, LCPC, CADC

Kristen is a therapist and yoga teacher in Evanston, IL who specializes in helping individuals manage anxiety, issues related to life changes and challenges in the perinatal journey through a holistic, mind/body approach. Kristen also runs a postpartum support & embodiment group at Grateful Yoga.

YogaMusicMama

Jill Mockaitis, longtime friend and teacher, is a superstar yogi and mom who combines her love of music with her love of yoga. She offers tons of classes for all different levels of movement via livestream or pre-recorded video. With fabulous playlists, playful sequencing, and a killer sense of humor, Jill is an absolute joy. Jill also runs yoga teacher trainings through Midtown Palatine and teaches in-person classes all around the Chicago area. Jill was the catalyst of Cami’s yoga practice, and subsequent teaching, and Cami wouldn’t be doing what she’s doing without her.

Jennah Jacobs

Jennah has a special place in Cami’s heart; they started their yoga teaching journey together back in 2017 as bunkmates at Kripalu Center during their 200-hour teacher training. Since then, Jennah has created a prolific business as a personal trainer and yoga teacher. Jennah offers livestream classes, pre-recorded movement videos, and one-on-one personal training online and in Miami, FL. Her approach to movement is joyful, intuitive, inclusive, and empowering. Her infectious spirit and deep soul provides the guidance you need on your movement journey.

Jenny Guzon Bae

Jenny is a longtime teacher and friend of Cami’s who has over a decade of experience and wisdom as a yoga teacher. After teaching for many years in Chicago, Jenny now teaches a vibrant community of yogis in Phoenix, AZ. Her vinyasa classes are the perfect balance of yoga philosophy, functional movement, and creative sequencing, and will leave you feeling joyful, revitalized, and inspired. Jenny also runs several yoga retreats around the world, which you can find here

Jeanna Lurie

Jeanna and Cami met during an online specialized yoga training and became fast friends over their shared love of yoga and the San Francisco Giants! Located in the Bay area in San Jose, Jeanna provides phenomenal online & in-person pre/postnatal yoga classes and teacher trainings. Having observed her teaching, Cami can attest that she leads with an impressive wealth of knowledge, compassion, & life experience as a mom. If you’re interested in yoga during pregnancy, or teaching pre/postnatal yoga, Jeanna’s your go-to.

Jenny Kaufman

Jenny has been a pillar in the Chicago-area yoga community for years, and is one of Cami’s favorite teachers. She teaches and runs teacher training at Yogaview. Jenny’s classes are thoughtful, explorative, fun, and grounding, and her guidance is nothing short of poetic. Jenny also leads yoga retreats around the world, including yearly retreats in Umbria, Italy.

Kim Romain

Kim is a powerhouse coach and mom who is helping clients make their dreams come true. Kim uses her wealth of knowledge in business strategy combined with social consciousness, spirituality, and embodied practice to support her clients in getting their world-changing businesses off the ground. Kim has a heart of gold and is all about helping you go from a sense of chaos, overwhelm, or lack of direction to a sense of clarity, purpose, & confidence in yourself.

Melissa Litwin, LCSW

Melissa is another person special to Cami. Having received her MSW at the Erikson Institute, Melissa is equipped to support clients of all ages and their families. Her approach is all about meeting people where they’re at, and her warmth and kindness shines in everything she does. She is also a native Spanish speaker and can provide therapy services in both English and Spanish.You can book a consultation with her here.

Michelle Duchin, LCSW, and her team at Peak provide culturally sensitive, inclusive, and affirming psychological services to individuals and couples navigating infertility, considering family-building options, or seeking emotional support during pregnancy or postpartum.

Alisha Vincent

Alisha Vincent is a certified integrative nutrition health coach and lactation counselor, and aims to help people who recently gave birth navigate their postpartum experience and support their wellbeing through integrative nutrition. Alisha is a compassionate advocate for new parents and postpartum health, stemming from her own life experience as a mom. She listens to, supports, and empowers you in achieving your nutrition-related goals, whatever they may be.
