Cami Codell, E-RYT became a certified Kripalu yoga teacher in 2017 and specializes in trauma-informed therapeutic yoga for pregnancy/postpartum, children/families, and those struggling with disordered eating/body image. She has taught & trained in various settings in North America, Europe, & Asia, including studios, schools, outpatient and residential psychiatric treatment, senior care facilities, and more. Cami’s aim is to lovingly support people’s total well-being using the practice of yoga, starting with our youngest generation.

NEW: Nourishing Your
Nervous System

​Through an intentional blend of gentle movement, restorative postures, chanting, and pranayama (breathwork), we will explore practical coping strategies to regulate the nervous system. Instruction is trauma-informed and accessible to all bodies. No previous yoga experience is required—only an open mind and a playful heart.

Pre/Postnatal Yoga

Join a welcoming community of expectant parents in this group class tailored to meet the needs of your changing body. Learn relaxation and breathing techniques as well as strengthening and stretching practices to optimize your pregnancy and prepare for birth. All trimesters welcome.

Baby & Me Yoga

When: Mondays,
4:15 - 5pm
Where: Grateful Yoga
Evanston, IL (in-person)

For ages 6 weeks to 12 months, unless your baby is an active walker, which is not recommended for this class. All parents are welcome. Class will be inclusive to all birth and parenting choices.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga classes feature an exploration of mindfully-paced movement, breathing, and relaxation. These classes gently develop strength and length in the body and allow the student to connect with the breath, quiet the mind, and find a deep sense of calm. Gentle classes are appropriate for all levels of students.

Morning Flow

When: Thursdays,
7:30-8:30am

This class features a new sequence of dynamic movement and yoga forms each week. The pattern is first taught slowly, then repeated as a flow (synchronized movement with the breath). This style of flowing practice emphasizes fluid and expressive movement at your tempo, rather than "keeping up" with a set pace.

workshops and events

When: Saturday, April 18th, 2026
1:30- 3:30pm CT

Where: Evolution Yoga

1841 Waukegan Rd Glenview, IL 

In this 2-hour workshop, you and your partner will learn skills, tools, & resources within the yoga practice that you can implement during labor and birth. This workshop will include movement, breathing, meditation, education, and plenty of time for questions. Not only is it a great way to connect with your partner and receive support, but you also get to connect to a supportive community of people in the same stage of life.

It is recommended to bring a notebook, pen/pencil, and a blanket/rebozo/scarf. No previous yoga experience required. All pregnant people and birth partners of any kind are welcome!

This monthly workshop features playful yoga, dance, song, and family-friendly meditations supportive of early childhood development and family wellness. Activities, pacing and tolerance of mild chaos are geared towards kids in the 1-2 year range.

Practicing yoga as a family cultivates strong bonds and healthy relationship skills that last a lifetime. Plus, it’s fun!Join child/family yoga specialist Cami Codell for a fun, energized monthly family yoga class suitable for ages roughly 3-5 (and their grownups). We’ll sing songs, make silly noises, breathe, and learn toddler-friendly yoga poses. Then you can snuggle up together with a favorite stuffy for a cozy relaxation.

All are welcome. No previous yoga experience required. Class size limited to 8 kid/adult groups.
